Low power vehicle computer embrace diverse integration
Ambedded Technology has launched the ARM-based vehicle computer Mercury CA9D, which can run telematics application on 10 watts of power at full loading.
The Mercury CA9D features low power ARM® Cortex™-A9 processor, pre-installed Android 4.2.2 or Ubuntu 12.04 operating system, various wireless communication module, CAN bus 2.0b and intelligent power management.
The vehicle computercould assist a variety of dispatch, monitoring service, including bus, truck, taxi, emergency and police car.
Positioning as power efficient & compact in-vehicle computer, Mercury CA9D is base on Freescale i.MX6 Dual ARM Cortex A9 SoC, with easy to use Ubuntu 12.04 or Android 4.2.2 operating system. The Mercury CA9D carries out asset trucking, vehicle navigation, mission dispatching, driver monitoring, in-vehicle signage with ultra low power consumption. With his robust hardware and comprehensive software integration, the CA9D could help the fleet ready to mobilize in simplest way.
Target to be a telematics appliance, Mercury CA9D offers GPS tracking and also able to support Glonass and QZSS. The data exchange could support over 3G, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth communication. It supports CAN 2.0b where the user could adopt SAEJ1939 protocols to vehicle data acquisition. Multi storage on micro SD card and mSATA SSD which allow a flexible and reliable data storage for transportation application.
Facing to the critical power environment in vehicle, the Mercury CA9D supports a wide range power inputs from 9~36V and intelligent power management. Mercury CA9D is able to works with both 12V and 24V, comply with ISO-7637-2 for electrical disturbances from conduction and coupling. It ensures reliable operation in severe environment, including extreme temperature from -30 to 70 degrees Celsius, vibration and shock according to MIL-STD-810G. Compact sizes on 21 x15 x 4cm (Lx W x H), easy to install into any kinds of vehicles without space concerns.
